Our Family

“For the body does not consist of one member but of many…Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.”

Hear Our Story

Redeemer Lutheran Church reaches far into Tillamook’s history, dating back to the depression era in Tillamook County, having been dedicated into God’s service in August of 1928.  Redeemer’s file vault shows notes from the minutes of past voters’ meetings going clear back to the 1940s.  Redeemer has come a long way, with two extensive exterior remodels and several interior construction projects as well.

No longer boasting a bell tower, the church’s newest exterior project did raise up a cross where the bell tower once stood.  Crafted by Redeemer’s own Willy Wallace, the owner of William Wallace Welding here in Tillamook, the cross now stands high over the church, harkening all who witness its unique elegance to the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Every Sunday morning, however, the church’s old bell may still be heard ’round the corner of Third and Grove; its old cast iron frame still found within the attic space left over from the newer construction.  With every toll, every peal, we know and are reminded that wherever the Gospel is proclaimed and the Sacraments are rightly administered, there remains hope for the world and peace for every sinner whom the Lord our God has shed His blood for.

Historic Christianity

We hold to the historic Christian faith - even when it leads to reformation!

Law and Gospel

We properly distinguish between the Law and the Gospel - one Word of promise, one Word of perfection.

By the Spirit

By the Spirit's power we learn to love one another, for, "love does no harm to its neighbor," and, "God is Love."
